Our LIGHTWEIGHT hoops are available in both Standard and Vintage versions (with the difference explained below) This classic old school type of hoop is constructed for use with claws for tensioning the drum head in the fashion of a standard bass drum hoop. Crafted with light weight and sturdy construction, they add a visual touch of class while opening up your drums sound with superior tone body. Standard (most popular choice) Our modern version LIGHTWEIGHT hoops are crafted to cover the drum heads metal collar. Due to this fact they will require in most cases that standard snare/tom lugs be raised with gasket material or used with bass drum height lugs for proper tension rod alignment. VINTAGE Our vintage version LIGHTWEIGHT hoops are crafted to sit on top of the drum heads metal collar like a standard bass hoop and will align properly with standard lugs. The trade off for this vintage look is a thinner and shorter hoop which is more flexible and is not recommended for higher tension drums.

Light Weight Specs
Standard Style- Height-1.25” Thickness-3/8” Diameter- ~7/8” over drum size (ex. 14” hoops =14-7/8” outer diameter) Notes- Hoops cover drum heads metal collar profile. May need gaskets under lugs or bass height lugs for proper alignment. Vintage Style- Height-1” Thickness-1/4” Diameter- ~9/16” over drum size Notes- Hoops do not cover heads metal collar. Not recommended for high tension drums. The above sizes may vary with customization.
